State School Embraces Harmony Day!
23rd of March is our school’s celebration of Harmony Day. Our diversity makes Australia a great place to live. Harmony Day is a celebration of our
cultural diversity – a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia
celebrate, we invite your child to bring along a special small plate for all to
sample different cultural foods for second lunch. As a celebration, we welcome
everyone to wear orange as well. Traditionally,
orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also
relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.
last session, students at Merinda will be participating in different cultural
